ABOUT OUR BREAKFASTS...
Our dining room is small and serene. We have soft classical background music and tea lights to create a relaxing ambience. Our menus vary from day to day. We strive to serve the freshest fruit, the best muffins and sweet breads, and the most appealing entrees.
We also have NIRVANA full body coffee and interesting teas. We enjoy cooking and preparing new and interesting ways to serve our guests. In addition, we have variety in our daily offerings. We serve home made granola, which is all vegetable oil, honey grains-oats, dried fruits and nuts. We have muffins-blueberry, cranberry, or apple for example which would be made in the standard way, flour, sugar, butter, fresh fruit in season-blueberries, raspberries. We serve fresh fruit in season, prepared in a variety of ways. Our standard juice is orange. If a guest prefers another juice, we will provide it with advance notice.
On this day we started with cantaloupe. We next brought in Orange Juice followed by muffins. The granola is found on the side board and the guests help themselves. A coffee carafe is placed at each table for those who drink coffee. milk or half and half and sugar is provided also at each table. If the guest drinks tea , then tea is provided at the table or on the side board.
Water glasses are also placed on the tables. After the first two courses, an entree such as basil eggs-scrambled eggs served with a basil cheese sauce and garnished with fresh basil is brought to the table. We love the oo's and ah's that the guests express when we serve basil eggs. For those who would not or cannot eat eggs, we will serve whatever the guest suggests is the best for him/her. However, they must provide a menu/recipe.
In the evening, we serve our guests teas and cookies, lemonade in the summer and occassionally a libation with hors d'oeuvres.
