Maple Street Inn Rooms

By virtue of our Mid-Cape location, the Inn is a short drive to Barnstable beaches, Lewis Bay Docks and ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, Barnstable Harbour and Whale Watch Cruises, golf, kayaking, and fishing charters.

The Maple Street Inn has gone GREEN. We use only biodegradable non toxic Shaklee products for cleaning and laundry. My husband and I do most of the maintenance and we are very particular about the safety of our guests.

The Currans bought the 1853 Second Empire Mansard Victorian in 2001. They undertook an enormous rehabilitation which resulted in the Maple Street Inn. Licenses were granted and the Inn opened in 2006. Located in West Barnstable, Cape Cod, Mass, a rural area in the town of Barnstable and one of its seven villages, and on the northside of Cape Cod, Maple Street is a street off of Historic Route 6A. 6A dates back to being an Indian foot path and then a stage coach route. The buildings have to meet the criteria and approval of The Old King’s Highway Commission. Most of the colors and the exterior of the houses have to reflect the era in which they were built. It is a charming road where boutique shops and antique stores are located. The Maple Street Inn is in the Old King’s Highway District and also conforms with its historical past.

The rooms in the smoke free inn have the ambience of the 19th century, with 21st century amenities. We have one suite with a king size bed, gas fireplace and Jacuzzi, a room which also has a king size bed but with an ensuite bathroom with a clawfoot soaking tub and attached shower. Lastly our two queen rooms have showers with body sprays in the ensuite bathrooms and gas fireplaces. We offer Spa Services on site.

We serve delicious breakfasts of pancakes,French toast with Vermont Syrup, egg soufflé, eggs benedict, Belgium waffles, omelets, as well as fruit preparations of kiwi and cantaloupe, baked pears with cinnamon, raisins, nutmeg and mint, with a vanilla sauce, or baked fruit and granola. Every day we serve three courses- fruit, the entrée and a sweet bread like banana or cranberry nut, scones or muffins. We also offer granola. All are home made. Coffee or teas are also available.

Our grounds are spacious and private and we are clearing new areas each year. We are on a pond with some water views in summer. We have a terrace with lounge chairs and an area of the grounds where more lounge chairs are located and protected from the sun with a canopy. The house itself is framed with hydrangeas and roses. We place fresh roses on each breakfast table.

We are two miles from Sandy Neck Beach which is available to the public for a fee. We provide beach chairs and towels. Many excellent restaurants are close by.

The Currans operate the Maple Street Inn themselves. They target anyone who enjoys peace and quiet. Hopefully their personal attention to their guests supports a peaceful get away.
